ABOUT THE NETWORK
A number of key persons have for a number of years worked to towards Norwegian governmental institutions to have the exceptance of rehabilitation of oiled bird as a standard procedure during oil spills. To improve the cooperation of this work regarding a number of issues we formalized this through establishing a network between independent, private research institutions, several NGOs and a number of other interested persons – the NOW Network. The network was formally established in Bergen in March 2009, initially by NNI, SWAN, Ocean Rehab, NOAH and others.
